Tonight is the New Moon. Remember, a New Moon is not visible in the sky.
Tonight is also Bays Mountain’s Astronomy Club meeting. This will be at 7 PM. This month’s meeting is an observing primer workshop. The workshop will begin in the Discovery Theater with a short presentation and then everyone will go out to the dam with a 10″ Dob. Each new person will have the chance to point a scope for the first time. It is cooler at the dam so dress accordingly!

Tonight is Starwatch at Bays Mountain Park. Come view the night sky for free with large telescopes. The event begins at 8:30 PM. Every Saturday night in April there will be a free viewing at Bays Mountain Observatories. If the weather is poor, the planetarium theater will be used to tour the current night sky!
Special thanks to Adam Thanz from Bays Mountain Park & Planetarium and Dr. Gary Henson from ETSU for this information.
