Storm Team 11 Weather:

There will be an increase in cloud cover overnight. A few showers are possible especially in western North Carolina. A High Wind Warning is also in effect for the mountain communities of east Tennessee from 8 p.m. tonight through 10 a.m. Friday. Winds could gust up to 60 mph. Low: 58

Winds will gradually subside as we head into Friday afternoon. Cloudy with scattered showers and storms Friday. A few could be strong or even severe. The biggest potential threat is strong winds and hail. Chance of rain: 50%. High: 78

Mostly cloudy with a few showers Friday night. Low: 58

As we head into the weekend, the pattern remains unsettled. We’ll have a 50 percent chance of storms Saturday. Some late in the day could be strong or severe once again. High: 75

We’ll have to watch for a little bit higher chance of rain and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon/evening. Once again, severe weather is a possibility, but the best chance is to our southwest as of now.

It will be much cooler to start the next work week.
