Storm Team 11 Forecast:
We’ve had some accumulating snow showers above 5,000 feet Saturday afternoon with 1 to 2 inches around the Carvers Gap area. A cold light rain will continue for most through the evening hours. A few flurries or snow showers are possible through early Sunday, especially in the mountains. There’s a 50 percent chance of precipitation. The low will be near 40 degrees.
Drier for Easter Sunday. Drizzle or a stray shower is possible in a couple spots early in the morning. Otherwise, it will be cloudy and cool. Some sunshine is expected to break through the clouds by mid to late afternoon so it’ll likely take most of the day for that to happen. As a result, it’ll be cooler than we originally anticipated with a high near 58 degrees. If you see sun earlier in the day, you could climb into the low 60s.
Skies will turn mostly clear to partly cloudy Sunday night. Chilly with a low around 41.
Mostly sunny Monday with a warmer afternoon. Our forecast high is 76.
It will stay mostly dry through mid week with highs near 80. Our rain chances appear to gradually go up again Thursday into Friday.
Take care and have a Happy Easter!
