Storm Team 11 Forecast:
We will have mainly dry weather tonight with partly to mostly cloudy skies. A stray shower is possible. Low of 52 degrees.
Sunday will be warm with a high near 77 degrees. Otherwise, it marks the beginning off a more unsettled weather pattern. There will be peeks of sun with a 50 percent chance of scattered rain and thunderstorms. Any rain in the morning should be on the light side. It looks mainly dry around midday. Pockets of thunderstorms are expected later in the afternoon and some could pack a punch, especially between 4 and 10 p.m. so keep that in mind if you’re going to the Food City 500 race. We may have hail and gusty winds in a couple of storms. The best chance of severe weather is expected earlier in the day from Nashville up to Lexington, Kentucky and points westward.
Scattered thunderstorms continue Sunday night with a low of 57 degrees.
The most widespread rain will be Monday. There’s an 80 percent chance of rain. Once again, we could see a few strong storms with a high of 72.
We’ll carry the chance of scattered showers Tuesday. Although, the rain could end as the day continues. Wednesday and Thursday look pretty nice before our next rain chance moves in Friday.
