What a perfect weather set-up today with abundant sunshine and warm conditions. We will get in one more nice day tomorrow before a strong low pressure system starts to influence our region Friday.
Scattered showers and storms will be moving into the Cumberland Plateau during the day Friday, then encounter some downsloping winds that will limit initial storm threat in Tri-Cities. Better chance for the Tri-Cities appears late Friday evening into the overnight hours. So, scattered showers and storms will be around the region Friday, but not a wash-out.
Friday’s system will stall out over the region Saturday keeping scattered showers nearby. Another low pressure system is expected to move in Sunday with an even better chance for scattered showers and storms. Sunday’s set-up also means a chance for a few strong storms around the region.
