Storm Team 11 Forecast:
A High Wind Warning continues for the east Tennessee mountain communities until Noon Friday. Wind gusts could reach 60 mph even outside of the thunderstorms.
Waves of rain and a few storms will move through our area Friday as temperatures generally stay in the 60s to near 70 degrees. One or two storms could pack gusty winds. Otherwise, expect heavy downpours. Many of us will get between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain.
Cloudy skies Friday night with scattered showers expected to continue. Turning much cooler late with lows near 43 degrees.
Cloudy, cold and breezy Saturday. We have a 70 percent chance of light rain. Light mountain snow is also possible, especially on the highest peaks where we could see a dusting or light accumulation. There’s even the chance of a little wintry mix elsewhere late Saturday. High near 49 degrees.
Most of the moisture will move out by Easter morning. Temperatures will be near 38 early on with cloudy skies. There’s a 20 percent chance of precipitation. It will be turning partly cloudy later in the day.
We will climb back into the mid 70s Monday afternoon with more mostly to partly sunny skies.
