Storm Team 11 Weather: Few storms Saturday, Severe weather potential Sunday

Storm Team 11 Forecast

Please stay weather aware as we head into the weekend. We have the potential of severe weather Sunday.

Tonight will be cloudy with some showers and storms possible. Low: 57

More clouds than sun Saturday with some sunnier breaks. Scattered thunderstorms. High: 77

It’ll be relatively quiet Saturday night despite the cloud cover. Low: 59

Showers and thunderstorms likely Sunday with an 80 percent chance of rain. We could have a round of storms in the morning, but the greatest chance of some severe thunderstorms looks to come during the afternoon and evening. The Storm Prediction Center has our entire area under an enhanced risk, which is a 3 out of 5, making it our highest risk of the season so far. Damaging winds are the main concern, but large hail and a couple tornadoes are a possibility. We’re still a couple days away. Don’t panic, but you need to have a way to get weather alerts just in case. Download the WJHL Weather App and/or have your NOAA Weather Radio turned on. It will highs in the mid 70s.

We will gradually dry out heading into Monday as much cooler air moves in. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s Monday morning with a high near 58. The 30s are expected to show up Tuesday morning before warmer weather returns.
