THE STORM TEAM 11 FORECAST
Wednesday Forecast
High pressure will keep our weather very nice today with just a subtle increase in humidity and temperature, with many areas in the low to mid 80’s. There will be an isolated storm threat as we step closer towards a summer-like day. Extra lift over the Blue Ridge Mountains will initiate a few isolated showers and storms early in the afternoon that may drift into parts of the Tri-Cities late in the day.
Late Week Outlook
An approaching cold front arrives Friday, increasing our chance for rain and storms. Rain will be scattered in nature, so it will not be a washout, but rain will be possible in the morning, and again during the afternoon and evening.
Look into the Weekend
An unsettled weather pattern is likely this weekend with scattered showers and storms Saturday, followed by a stronger system Sunday likely to produce widespread rain and storms.
