Storm Team 11: Summer Heat Continues, Storm Threat North

Weather

STORM TEAM 11

Wednesday Forecast

Storms continue to fire over the Ohio valley with a severe potential for northern Kentucky and much of West Virginia.  A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for those areas until 7 pm, with primary severe threat staying north of the Tri-Cities.  Overall, an isolated storm threat is possible for SW VA and parts of eastern KY.  We hold onto another hot and humid day with temperatures nearing records.

End of Week

A more significant weather pattern change Friday will result in more noticeable change, with showers and storms expected to become more widespread. This cold front will finally put an end to this heat wave.

Weekend Outlook

Saturday looks mainly dry with seasonable temperatures in the low to mid 80’s. Another cold front arriving Sunday means another decent chance for scattered showers and storms.
