THE STORM TEAM 11 FORECAST
We hold on to another spring-like day with cool conditions today as temperatures remain well below average for mid-May. Mountains will also be quite chilly with a cool breeze and occasional clouds moving through.
Work Week Outlook
We start to turn a corner on Wednesday looking towards a much warmer weather set-up. Mid-week temperatures will be closer to the target of average conditions. From there, our weekend weather pattern will continue to promote a bigger warm-up with mid summer-like conditions. A combination of heat and humidity will certainly get in the summer mood.
Our next storm threat will come mainly Friday as a disturbance rides the jet stream into our region. This disturbance will help develop a few scattered showers and storms favoring areas north of the Tri-Cities. Isolated storms will also be possible this weekend mainly over the mountains.
