Summer-like weather continues today with breezy and warm conditions. The atmosphere becomes increasingly unstable as well, increasing our chance for developing showers and storms which will be very scattered in nature. The best time for rain will come around midday into the afternoon, with additional scattered showers and storms possible this afternoon.
Rain will be very scattered Saturday which means still a decent outdoor day despite the brief showers and storms. A strong storm system Sunday will not only increase our storm threat, but also increase the severe potential Sunday afternoon. A line of strong to severe storms is expected to arrive Sunday afternoon with wind being the primary threat, and even a few isolated tornadoes. There could be several rounds of storms from midday to midnight Sunday. Storm threat will end Sunday night into Monday morning. It will be a good day to keep our WJHL weather app handy so you will be alerted instantly of any watches or warnings.
