Storm Team 11: Isolated Storm Threat Today, Few Heavy Downpours

Weather

THE STORM TEAM 11 FORECAST

High pressure is weakening across our area, in addition to some added moisture from Gordon, allowing for a few more storms to develop during the afternoon and evening. Temperatures will not be quite as hot compared to earlier in the week, but still very summer-like.

As we look into the weekend, rain and storms will become more scattered, although the deepest moisture associated with Gordon appears to stay north of our area over the Ohio Valley. Overall, we are stepping towards a wet weather pattern next week, with a daily dosing of showers and storms.

TODAY

Summer-like heat continues, with isolated storms this afternoon and evening, temperatures in the upper 80’s Tri-Cities, upper 70’s in the mountains.

TONIGHT

Partly cloudy and mild with lows in the upper 60’s.

TOMORROW

Isolated storms with temperatures in the upper 80’s.
