Our summer-like weather pattern continues today with warm conditions along with an isolated storm threat during the late afternoon and evening hours. With a weaker system moving in this afternoon, storm threat looks to be limited to the Blue Ridge Mountains and Cumberland Plateau, with much less of a rain risk in Tri-Cities.
A big surge in moisture means rain becoming likely Saturday morning, with areas of heavy rain through Saturday afternoon. Another system will generate additional heavy rain Sunday into Sunday afternoon. Total rain amounts will range from around 1 to 2 inches with the potential for higher amounts in some areas. There is a slight risk for flooding this weekend, something that will be monitored closely.
