Storm Team 11: Developing Showers and Storms

Weather

THE STORM TEAM 11 FORECAST

So far today rain has been more prominent over the Cumberland Plateau, while drier air a big factor in limiting rain threat in Tri-Cities.  Deeper moisture will move in this evening and tonight, increasing our chance for widespread rain favoring the late evening and overnight hours.  Meanwhile, rain will remain widespread over the Cumberland Plateau this afternoon, with additional showers developing over the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Be prepared for scattered showers becoming more widespread for everyone later today.

Looking ahead into and through the weekend, rain and storms will continue developing overnight with heavy downpours possible.  Rain becomes more likely  Saturday, as conditions are favorable for widespread rain and storms. It will not rain all day, but scattered showers and storms will be around during the day, as well as into the evening. Conditions will not be quite as wet Sunday, but additional showers and storms will be around during the day.

TONIGHT

TOMORROW
