Storm Team 11: Mostly Cloudy, Few Scattered Showers

Few Showers Possible

THE STORM TEAM 11 FORECAST

Another surge of moisture will be fighting a persistent downslope wind pattern today, limiting the rain threat in the immediate Tri-Cities.  Areas west of I-81, further away from the influence of downsloping, especially eastern and southeastern KY, can expect a better chance for rain this afternoon and evening.  Overnight, the downslope winds lighten, allowing for scattered showers to move through the Tri-Cities.  Tuesday looks to be about the same, with a few scattered showers. A cold front arrives mid-week, with rain becoming more likely, with additional rain likely Thursday.

TODAY

Mostly cloudy with isolated showers, near 80 Tri-Cities, low to mid 60's in the mountains.

TONIGHT

A few scattered showers with temperatures in the mid 60's.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK

Sunshine and unseasonably warm conditions with highs in the low 80's and lows in the upper 50's.
