UPDATE (3:15 p.m. Friday): A post by the Greeneville Parks & Recreation Department on its Facebook page says the splash pad has reopened.
According to the post, maintenance staff found a way around waiting on a part for the pump. The broken piece was repaired and appears to be working well.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Greeneville splash pad is closed until further notice according to a post on the Greeneville Parks & Recreation Facebook page.
The splash pad is located at 456 E. Bernard Avenue.
According to the post, there is a bad seal in a pump for the splash pad.
The Parks & Recreation Department is ordering the part. “…it may be several days before repairs can begin,” they wrote.
They are hoping that once the part comes in, the repair will be completed quickly.
