Two North Carolina residents with pending murder charges out of North Carolina are now waiting for extradition out of Smyth County, Virginia, after getting taken into custody, according to police.
The Smyth County Sheriff’s Office received information that Robert Bryan Hoover, 35, and Brandy Lynn Miller, 29, both of Stony Point North Carolina, were involved in a double homicide that occurred in Alexander County, North Carolina and had recently relocated to the Saltville area of Smyth County, VA.
The Smyth County Sheriff’s Office identified the residence of the suspects as 300 Davidson Street, Saltville, VA.
The following information was provided by the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office.
On March 15, 2019, the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office obtained warrants on the two individuals. A BOL was given out, and the two were taken into custody without incident by officers from the Saltville Police Department in a traffic stop on Highway 107.
After receiving information from the suspects that there were narcotics and ammunition in the residence, members of the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on the residence of 300 Davidson St, Saltville. Narcotics and ammunition were recovered from inside the residence.
In North Carolina Hoover is wanted for two counts of First Degree Murder, and Miller is wanted on two counts of Accessory to Commit Murder. Both Hoover and Miller were arrested on Fugitive from Justice warrants in Smyth County and are currently being held in the Southwest VA Regional Jail without bond awaiting extradition. Further charges in Smyth County are pending.
