LEBANON, Va. (WJHL)- A Southwest Virginia man is being held without bond after police say he barricaded himself inside an apartment Tuesday night.

Detective Chris Kiser with Lebanon, Virginia Police Department said they responded to the Fox Meadows Apartment Complex on Tuesday evening where a female victim told officers her boyfriend tried to kill her.

The suspect, identified by authorities as Harrial Eugene Stacy, Jr., barricaded himself inside the apartment.

Kiser said officers found the victim in a neighboring apartment covered in blood with several cuts.

That victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries and was later released.

After about an hour of negotiating with Stacy, Jr., officers said the suspect told them he had a bag with a bomb in it. That’s when officers were able to taser him and take him into custody.

Harrial Eugene Stacy, Jr. is now charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, making a bomb threat, assault, and abduction.

A court date has not yet been set. He is being held in jail without bond.
