A cooperative effort between the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Unit has resulted in charges for a woman in Blountville for the distribution of methamphetamine.
According to a release from the office, the efforts from the agencies were able to identify the source of meth being sold from Rhea Avenue.
Investigators say a search warrant was issued Tuesday at the home of Laura A. Lane.
According to the report, deputies found roughly one- and one-half ounces of meth that was packaged in separate baggies, 10 grams of marijuana also packaged separately, and other items of paraphernalia scattered throughout the home.
$2,400 in cash that is believed to be proceeds of drug sales was seized as was a 9mm pistol, according to police.
Lane, age 52, was arrested and charged with possession of meth for resale, maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are sold, promotion of methamphetamine manufacture, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and firearm possession during the commission of a felony.
