Charges are pending after a crash sent several people to the hospital, including two children.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Hwy 167 near Crackers Neck Road.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Mitsubishi Eclipse was slowing down to turn into a parking lot when it was rear-ended by a Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, 28-year-old Joshua Phillips of Mountain City, and two 10-year-old male passengers were taken to the Johnson City Medical Center. At least one person was flown by helicopter.
The driver of the Dodge, 28-year-old Morgan Roush of Butler, and a four-year-old female passenger were uninjured.
Charges are pending against both drivers.
