Korean War veteran, 85, graduates with Volunteer High School

Bill William Arnold Craddock is an 85-year-old Korean War veteran who never got to see his high school graduation.

At 16 years old,  he joined the Air Force.

Craddock went to Science Hill High School before his time serving our country.

He would have graduated his senior year of high school in 1953.

66 years later, his dream came true at Volunteer High School as he graduated with the class of 2019 on Saturday.

” I’m tickled pink that I went through this to get this,” Craddock said. “Seeing all these people, and they have made me feel good.”

Craddock also shared a special message for both the class of 1953 and 2019.

“I would tell that class to study hard and be good,” he said. “Learn all they can and get the best education they can get.”

He also shared some words for the people he served with.

“Remember, we that serve the military served it for everybody,” he said. “Some made the complete sacrifice.”
