JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL)- Johnson City Parks and Recreation officials are asking for the public’s input about Pine Oaks Golf Course.

A brief survey asks people to rank the importance of different changes at the course like, Allow sale of beer at the golf course and Development of a new short course and Learning Center at Pine Oaks.

News Channel 11 spoke to city leaders in 2018, shortly after they closed Buffalo Valley Golf Course.

In 2018, former Johnson City Mayor David Tomita, said some of the money they were saving by closing Buffalo Valley, could be used to make improvements at Pine Oaks.

The survey sent out about Pine Oaks also asks the public how they feel about improvements to landscaping, and improvements to the existing clubhouse.

The survey can be found here: Pine Oaks survey and city officials said you can also print off a copy, and drop it off at the Pine Oaks Golf Course at 1709 Buffalo Road in Johnson City.
