Several fire crews in Hawkins County spent the early morning hours battling a house fire in the Surgoinsville area.
According to a Facebook post from the Stanley Valley Volunteer Fire Department, crews responded to a fire around 12:30 a.m. this morning.
First-arriving firefighters reportedly found heavy smoke pushing out of the structure.
“After a hard push the fire was brought quickly under control,” the department said in their Facebook post.
Crews that responded included Stanley Valley, Surgoinsville, Carters Valley and Striggersville.
Crews also thanked Hawkins County EMS for setting up rehab and Hawkins County Rescue Squad for responding to the scene with bottles of cold drinking water.
There were no reports of any injuries from the fire.
