Bristol, Va City Council approves 2019-20 budget

The Bristol, Virginia City Council approved its 2019-20 budget during a second and final reading Tuesday night. 

The budget passed in a 3-2 vote and will take effect July, 1st. 

The budget will not increase real estate or property taxes. 

City Manager Randy Eads says a joint meeting with the city’s school board will be held Thursday to discuss short and long term plans for school projects moving forward.
