The public is invited to the grand opening of Bays Mountain Park and Planetarium’s new bee exhibit.
The new exhibit will teach visitors the important role bees play in our ecosystem, their biology, their struggles in modern society and more.
The exhibit will also feature a first for the park, interactive and hands-on components. But the best part may be the live beehive with magnified capability for visitors to see the inside of the bees’ home in great detail.
The grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, May 23 at 1 p.m. in the park’s Nature Center.
The new exhibit is part of a 10-year plan that will bring $8 million worth of upgrades to the park. Those upgrades began last year.
