KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Tennessee men’s basketball team kicked off its season with a demanding 78-63 victory over UNC-Asheville Tuesday night.
The Volunteers featured four double-figure scorers including a game-high 17 points and six assists from redshirt senior guard Lamonte Turner. Junior forward Yves Pons chalked up 15, while redshirt junior John Fulkerson tallied 10 points and nine rebounds.
Tennessee hopes to keep the momentum going when it hosts Murray State next Tuesday.
