NHRA rookie Austin Prock prepares for his ride in Thunder Valley On father’s Day weekend

The roar of thunder will be heard in the valley a week from Friday when the 19th annual NHRA Thunder Valley National rolls into the Bristol dragway. And while the same cast of super star drivers such as John Force, the Sarge, and Capps just to name a few will be on board.
There will also be one driver who will make his first ever appearance to Thunder Valley and that will be rookie Austin Prock. So far the top fuel drivers best finish this season was 6th at Phoenix and Chicago
And while this will be his first time down the track at Bristol he’s looking forward to it.

“Usually it’s hot and it’s greasy so it’s a little bit of a crap shoot for the crew chiefs which I’m actually looking forward too you know because it makes it a little bit of a drivers race because if you do smoke the tire you are going to have to get it down there better than the other driver and make sure you leave the starting line first I feel like we are hitting our strides just right we had a close race last weekend and we made really good run and mike claimed it to be our best run  every functioned the engine looked nice and I’m excited to get to Bristol and see what we can do.”
