Multiple sources saying Jason Witten has retired

(WJHL) – ESPN is reporting that Dallas Cowboys tight end and Tri-Cities native Jason Witten is retiring.

They are saying that Witten will join ESPN as an analyst for the Monday Night Football broadcasts.

Witten was raised in Elizabethton and went on the play football the University of Tennessee.

According to ESPN staff writer Todd Archer, Witten has notified general manager Jerry Jones and Cowboys head coach Jason Garret.

Jason Witten has not yet made a public announcement.
