KNOXVILLE– Top247 power forward John Fulkerson committed to Tennessee on Friday morning, according to his personal Twitter account and his school’s account.
Fulkerson, an Upper East Tennessee native currently playing at Christ School in Arden, N.C., is the nation’s No. 221 overall prospect and No. 53 power forward prospect in the 2016 industry-generated 247Sports Composite, and he’s the nation’s No. 168 overall prospect and No. 40 power forward prospect in the 247Sports rankings.
The 6-foot-8, 190-pound Fulkerson – who has been on Tennessee’s radar for months and really impressed Coach Rick Barnes and his staff in one-on-one AAU battles against big men with higher recruiting rankings – is the third known commitment to Tennessee’s 2016 class, joining Nashville point guard Jordan Bone and wing Jalen Johnson from North Carolina.
