Elizabethton QB Cade Maupin’s one-handed interception voted week one Play of the Week

Play of the Week

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Voters picked an incredible play by Elizabethton Cyclones QB Cade Maupin for this week’s play of the week.

But it wasn’t an offensive play that got everyone’s attention.

Maupin, who plays both offense and defense, made a one-handed interception during the game against Science Hill.

Elizabethton went on to defeat Science Hill 28-20.

Maupin was also named player of the week.

Other honorable mentions include a crazy and long run by Daniel Boone’s Charlie Cole and an aggressive pick by South Greene’s Jalen Ingram.
