MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Dec. 17, 2015) – Heather Ellis, a standout from Johnson City, Tennessee, and Science Hill High School, has signed with the Milligan College softball team for 2016-17, announced Head Coach Wes Holly.
Ellis has played softball for seven years, including three years of travel ball with the Blue Blaze and the East Tennessee Tribe.
“We’re excited that Heather is joining Buff Nation and our Milligan softball family,” said Holly. “She is a good student and athlete, and has a good, supportive family. We look forward to her contributions to our softball program over the next four years, and think she is a very good fit for Milligan.”
Ellis is an infielder/outfielder who was named to the Tennessee State Coaches’ All-Academic Team while at Science Hill. She is the daughter of James and Marsha Ellis, and is undecided on a major.
“I chose Milligan because of its reputation for strong academics, its strong softball program, and the good people that surround the campus,” Ellis said.
