Aaron Quillen preparing for third pro baseball season

KINGSPORT, TN-Spring training is underway for many MLB teams across the country and one former Dobyns-Bennett Indian is getting ready to make his second trip to spring training.

Aaron Quillen received a camp invite from the Cincinnati Reds for the second straight year.

Quillen finished last year strong with Cincinnati's high-A team, the Daytona Tortugas, and hopes to begin his third pro season there this year.

"Didn't give up a run the whole time I was in high-A," said Quillen. "So this year when I go back, I want to keep that rolling. I know it's going to be tough to do, but it's obviously something I've built on and gave me a lot of confidence. I'll go to spring training and then you never really know until about the last day of spring training (where I'll be assigned). No days off, you practice every day. I'm hoping to go back to Daytona, but it's a business so you never know."
