Start Date
- August 10 (*Updated as of July 28)
- All students in face-to-face instruction will start the year with virtual instruction on Monday until further notice.
- Students who have previously selected Remote Choice Learning 2020 will remain virtual, as planned.
Return to in-person
- KCS will return to in-person instruction on August 31, with students grades Pre-K-5 returning completely and grades 6-12 coming back on a hybrid schedule.
Mask Requirement?
- Following the Sullivan County mandate, both Kingsport City and Sullivan County school systems will require students and teachers to wear masks. The mandate applies to anyone over the age of two, with exceptions for those who have difficulty breathing.
