Start Date

  • August 6 Bristol, Tennessee Public Schools students will participate in remote learning from the first day of school, Aug. 6, to Aug. 14. The school system says remote learning may be extended beyond Aug. 14 if the district remains in the “red zone.”

Return in In-Person Learning

  • August 24 — Bristol, Tennessee Schools will return to in-person instruction beginning Monday, Aug. 24. For students who are enrolled in the in-person learning pathway, grades Pre K–6 will be in school five days a week while grades 7–12 will return on a hybrid schedule.

Mask Requirement?

  • “The Sullivan County Executive Order One requiring face coverings does not currently provide an exemption for schools. We will follow the order. Should the order change, we will revisit this question within our Framework for Reopening Schools and the current transmission level of COVID-19 in our community. Masks will be provided for students who need them.”
