Kathy Bullen unseats incumbent Johnny Lynch in Town of Unicoi mayoral election

UNICOI, Tenn. (WJHL) – The own of Unicoi will soon have a new mayor following the election on November 3.

Mayor-elect Kathy Bullen won the mayoral election with 1,034 votes (57.1%)

Incumbent Johnny Lynch received 778 votes (42.9%).

Bullen had challenged Lynch in a tight race in 2016.

Lynch was running for his sixth mayoral term.

Bullen has served as an alderman in the town of Unicoi. She previously told News Channel 11 that she believed the town was in need of a fresh start.
