NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The tray table on an airplane may be the dirtiest thing you touch when you travel.
Travel Math recently collected 26 samples from 5 airports on two different airlines, but it did not name which ones.
The tray table samples showed more than 2,100 colony-forming units per square inch.
Second on the list of the dirtiest spots was the drinking fountain button in an airport, followed by the plane’s overhead vents.
Third was the flush button inside the airplane bathroom with 265 colony-forming units per square inch.See the rest of the data from Travel Math here.Copyright 2015 WKRN. All rights reserved.
