CHURCH HILL, TN (WJHL) – Hometown hero JT Brooks came out to Volunteer High School Friday to support his Cherokee Chiefs.
JT suffered a crippling spinal cord injury on the football field in May.
Volunteer High School had a special welcome for him at Friday’s highly anticipated match up. Administrators and students sold “Falcon Fight for 5” t-shirts in support of JT’s fundraiser.
All proceeds go towards JT and his family as he continues his treatment in Atlanta.
“I’m moving my big toe and a couple of other toes, getting a little feeling back. Everybody has been so supportive, of course volunteer was and I really want to thank them for that,” Brooks said.
Through various fundraisers the school has already raised over $2500 for JT Brooks. Cherokee High School won 45 to 7.Copyright 2016 WJHL. All rights reserved.
