Vols fans cheer the team on while staying in the Tri-Cities

Johnson City, TN (WJHL) – Even though they couldn’t be in Tampa, Volunteer fans were still able to come together and root for their team at a local establishment.

Supporters of the Vols gathered at Buffalo Wild Wings today but eating wasn’t the only thing going on. Fans were clapping, yelling, and cheering for Tennessee who was playing Northwestern in the Outback Bowl.

“There is no other football in Tennessee. The tradition that we have here is amazing. We have the Titans but they are not Tennessee” said Mark Falls.

Jeff Phillips said, “You stick with them through thick or thin no matter if they are losing or winning. Just bleed orange. Just bleed orange and white”.

At the end of the game, most of the patrons were more than happy with the outcome of the game judging by all of the orange and white that filled the room.Copyright 2016 WJHL. All Rights Reserved.
