Two vehicles destroyed, building damaged in Bristol, Va. fire

BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) – Fire crews battled a fire involving two vehicles and a building in the 200 block of East Mary Street in Bristol, Va. Tuesday evening.

According to Bristol, Va. Police Department’s Maynard Ratcliff, two vehicles were destroyed and some of the building nearby was also damaged.

One person was reportedly working on one of the cars when it caught on fire and spread to the other vehicle and the building.

That same person received burns in the fire and was taken to Bristol Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Fire crews from both Bristol, Va. and Bristol, Tenn. were called to the scene and assisted in putting the fire out.Copyright 2016 WJHL. All rights reserved.
