We now know the names of the two people killed in a Greene County crash this afternoon.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, Mattie Salley, 40 years old of Greeneville and Jeffery Salley, 57 years old, of Greeneville died in the head on crash Wednesday.
Colin Carson, 39 years old of Parrotsville in Greene County was injured and airlifted to the hospital.
THP said all three were wearing a seat belt.
Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed two people were killed in a crash that happened on U.S. Highway 321 in Greene County Wednesday.
According to THP, troopers responded to the crash on Highway 321 at St. James Road around 1:38 p.m.
The crash involved three vehicles. Five people were inside the vehicles — two people were killed, one person was flown to a nearby hospital and two people were not injured.
According to THP, a car traveling north crossed over the center line and crashed head on into a car going southbound. A third vehicle, carrying two people, was traveling southbound on Highway 321 when it ran off the road to dodge the crash. The two people in the third vehicle were not injured.
THP troopers are still on scene, along with Greene County investigators.
