NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee section of the American Society of Civil Engineers released a report card that looks at 10 different categories Tuesday.

The group maintains the state’s public water system needs a hefty upgrade and schools need to be replaced or renovated to meet attendance needs.
The areas traffic woes were also addressed in the report.
“We estimate 45 hours are lost every year by people in Nashville, just due to congestion. So we have areas we need to improve on,” said committee chair Monica Sartain.
The Tennessee section of the American Society of Civil Engineers represents about 2,000 civil engineers in Tennessee.
