BRISTOL, TN (WJHL) – More jobs are coming to the Tri-Cities. Officials from Teleperformance announced Tuesday morning the company is investing to expand its current operations in Bristol, TN. The investment is expected to help create 500 new jobs within the next 5 years.
Teleperformance is a global company that specializes in customer experience management. They plan on investing $800,000 in its existing facility in Sullivan County, TN.
State dignitaries including Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd were on hand for the announcement in Sullivan County.
“It speaks volumes to the business climate we’ve been able to create in Tennessee when existing companies flourish and expand their operations,” Haslam said. “We welcome Teleperformance’s commitment to create more than 500 new jobs for Sullivan County as we strive to make Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”
Teleperformance currently has 700 employees in Tennessee.

According TECDC commissioner Boyd, Tennessee has more than 13,500 people working in the field of customer service operations.

Ron Ramsey said. “It is exciting to see a great company like Teleperformance recognize our superior workforce and pro-growth business environment by investing further in our great state.”
Teleperformance serves global customers its Bristol call center, located at 2536 W. State Street.

Teleperformance provides customer care, technical support, debt collection programs for companies around the world.
Last year, it reported a consolidated revenue of $3.7 billion and it currently employs 190,000 employees at 311 centers in 65 counties. Teleperformance also touts to manage programs in 75 languages.
