Task force recommends changing name of MTSU’s Forrest Hall


MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – The 15-person task force appointed to discuss changing the name of Forrest Hall on Middle Tennessee State University’s campus held their final meeting Tuesday.

The task force voted to recommend the building’s name is changed.

The building, named after one-time Ku Klux Klan leader and Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest in 1954, houses the campus’ Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program.Copyright 2016 WKRN. All rights reserved.
