Suspects arrested in Kingsport double-homicide

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – Police say two men wanted in connection with a shooting that killed two people Monday evening have been arrested in Kentucky. 

According to the Kingsport Police Department, Joseph Dale Clark and Alexander M. Hamilton were arrested in Addair County, Kentucky. 

Clark and Hamilton remain in Adair County Jail and are awaiting extradition back to Tennessee. 


KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) – Police say the second victim in a Monday evening shooting has died. 

According to the Kingsport Police Department, 27-year-old Shyane I. Bishop died at Holston Valley Medical Center around 1 p.m. Tuesday. 

30-year-old Trevor Reed was also killed in the shooting. 

Kingsport police continue to search for two suspects, 19-year-old Joseph Clark and 22-year-old Alexander Hamilton. Police say both men should be considered armed and dangerous

The shooting happened before 6 p.m. Monday at Stonecrest Apartments, formerly known as Model City Apartments. 

Clark is described as 19 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing about 145 pounds. It’s believed that he has sandy hair and blue eyes. His last known residence was Bald Knob, Arkansas. 

Hamilton, of Kingsport, is described as 22 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches, and weighing about 170 pounds. It’s believed that he has brown hair and blue eyes.
