Adult film actress Stormy Daniels was arrested early Thursday while performing at a strip club in Columbus, Ohio.

Court records show she faces three counts of illegally touching a patron.

Her attorney, Michael Avenatti, said Daniels was arrested for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her in a non-sexual manner while she was on-stage. Avenatti tweeted, “Are you kidding me? They are devoting law enforcement resources to sting operations for this? There has to be higher priorities.”

Ohio law does not allow an employee who regularly appears nude or seminude on the premises of a sexually oriented business to touch anyone who is not a family member while nude or seminude at that business.

Avenatti called the arrest a set-up and claimed it was politically motivated. He said his client will fight the misdemeanor charges.

Daniels posted a $6,054 bail and was released from jail, according to court records. She will be arraigned Friday at 9 a.m.
