BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) – The Bristol, Va. mayor confirmed to News Channel 11 Tuesday that two restaurants planned for The Falls will no longer be coming to the development.

According to Mayor Archie Hubbard, Smoky Mountain Brewery and Calhoun’s have stalled indefinitely.

Hubbard said there are no contracts on the book for either of these restaurants and, as of now, those spaces are up for grabs for other retailers.

According to Hubbard, no money has been lost on the development and said properties that are there – Lowe’s and Cabela’s – are doing okay.

A meeting has been scheduled for Thursday at noon, where more announcements will be made in regards to The Falls project.Copyright 2016 WJHL. All rights reserved.
