SCSO’s Operation Mayday nets 24 drug-related arrests, six people still at large

SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Operations Unit obtained 30 arrest warrants for people connected to illegal drug activity, following an investigation that began in September 2015.

The roundup, Operation Mayday, started on Tuesday and has since resulted in 24 of the 30 suspects being arrested.

The charges of those involved in the roundup include a wide range of narcotics charge, including heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, Alpha-PVP and various prescription medications. The street value of the drugs seized is more than $13,000.

According to the release, during the roundup multiple homes were searched, which led to the seizure of additional narcotics.

SCSO officials said six suspects are still at large and the investigation is ongoing, with additional charges pending.

The following is the list of suspects still at large:

  • Rebecca D. Davis, of Johnson City, charged with sale/delivery of schedule III drugs within 1,000 feet of a park (no photo available)
  • Timothy Duncan, of Kingsport, charged with sale/delivery of schedule II drugs
  • Amanda N. Garrison, of Kingsport, charged with sale/delivery of schedule III drugs within 1,000 feet of a school and sale/delivery of schedule III drugs.
  • Michael Tyrone Horton, of Kingsport, charged with two counts of sale/delivery of schedule II drugs within 1,000 feet of a park, two counts of sale/delivery of schedule II drugs within 1,000 feet of a school
  • Amy L. Sizemore, of Kingsport, charged with sale and delivery of schedule II drugs (no photo available)
  • Billy Joe Taylor, of Bristol, Tenn., charged with sale and delivery of schedule II drugs
