News Channel 11’s Amy Lynn is getting you ready for a busy weekend of activities across the viewing area.
FREE PARK HIKES
Warriors Path State Park is one of 56 state parks taking part in National Trails Day tomorrow.
Other parks across the region include Lamar Alexander Rocky Fork State Park, Sycamore Shoals Historic State Park, and Roan Mountain State Park.
Last year, more than 100,000 people participated in National Trails Day events across the country.
And hiking is just part of the fun. There are all kinds of events on at our state parks.
CLINCH RIVER DAYS
The 21st annual Clinch River Days Festival runs today and tomorrow in the St. Paul, Virginia.
All kinds of activities for the whole family to enjoy, and for the kids including a petting zoo, games, magicians, and inflatables.
HOWLING BEER & MUSIC FESTIVAL
While in Southwest Virginia, the fifth annual Howling Craft Beer and Music Festival in Abingdon begins at noon at lasts until 5 p.m.
This continues until tomorrow.
Special craft beer, music on two stages, arts and crafts and plenty of food will be available in the area of Wolf Hills Brewing Company in Abingdon.
ETSU BIG TRAIN SHOW
East Tennessee State University will be hosting the final day of the “Big Train Event” at the George L. Carter Railroad Museum. The event lasts until 4 p.m. today.
JONESBOROUGH BREWS & TUNES
You can bring your weekend to a close with the fifth annual Jonesborough Brews & Tunes.
Music starts at 5 p.m. at the Storytelling Center Plaza on Sunday. The event will feature local craft beer, cider, food truck, and other goodies. This event will continue each Sunday through September.
