A Coeburn, Virginia man faces felony charges after leading police on a high-speed chase and reportedly pointing a firearm from a car window.

According to the Wise County Sheriff’s Office, Kevin Scott Hall, 33, now faces charges of felony eluding, DUID, brandishing a firearm and obstruction of justice.

Wise County deputies reportedly received a call May 11 right after 5:30 p.m. that Hall was driving impaired.

According to the deputies, Hall was located on Route 58 near Tacoma Mountain Road driving at a “high rate of speed and recklessly.”

A deputy attempted to stop Hall, who was reportedly driving over 100 mph. While turning onto Route 23, a deputy reported he saw Hall point what appeared to be a handgun out the window.

Police say the chase came to an end at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens after a brief standoff with Hall.  The Wise County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the City of Norton Police Department.

Hall is currently housed at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail.
