TDOT crews partially reopen I-75 and I-24 split near Chattanooga

Tennessee

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn, (WJHL)- TDOT crews have reopened a portion of the Interstate 75 and Interstate 24 split near Chattanooga after a beam collapsed Monday morning.

The beam fell onto a vehicle and injured one person.

Chattanooga Police said that person’s injuries were non-life threatening.

There is no word yet on when that road will fully reopen.

TDOT said the overpass is inspected every two years and the last inspection in 2018 showed that the overpass was in ‘good’ condition.
